Q-Strixin Facial Formula possesses the same key potent ingredients as the original Q-Strixin Micro-Active Emulsion in a lighter moisturizing base that may be used on more delicate, fragile or sensitive skin types. It has also been reinforced with a third peptide called Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 , the wrinkle relaxing or so called botox like peptide that further aides in skin tightening.
Q-Strixin Facial Formula quickly penetrates the skin helping stimulate and support cell renewal. It helps improve facial skin tone and texture, reduces fine lines and wrinkles and improves the appearance of discoloration associated with sun damaged skin. Your skin will have a smoother, more youthful appearance. Q-Strixin Facial Formula may be applied in the morning before make-up or sunscreen and again at nighttime for added anti-aging benefits.
Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 , the wrinkle relaxing or so called botox like peptide that further aides in skin tightening. It consists of a chain of 6 amino acids attached to the acetic acid residue. It is believed to work by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters. Some studies indicate Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 relaxes facial tension, leading to the reduction in facial lines and wrinkles with regular use. (These were in vitro studies showing inhibition of formation of SNAP-25). This remotely resembles the effect of Botox, which reduces facial tension and movement by paralyzing facial muscles.
Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3 and Palmitoyl Oligopeptide are known to stimulate cell growth, reduce the depth, length and volume of wrinkles, increase skin thickness, decrease overall skin roughness, help correct discoloration and repair sun damaged skin.
Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, originally used in wound healing, this ingredient consists of a group of amino acids linked together and attached to a fatty acid structurally related to the precursors of collagen type 1. Researchers have found that when added to a culture of skin cells, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 stimulates the synthesis of the key constituents of the skin matrix: collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans. Clinical studies have shown a dramatic improvement in skin smoothness and decreased wrinkle depth in test subjects. A four-month study comparing Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-3 to Retinol, showed the peptide yielded similar dermal thickening as the Retinol, but without any negative side effects.
Palmitoyl Oligopeptide is a synthetic protein, made up of a fragment of collagen and palmitic acid. The palmitic acid is used to make collagen more lipophillic, making it more compatible with the human skin. Developed through intensive research, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide was the result of an effort to create a substance that would act like retinoic acid without the negative characteristics and irritation.
This is the trade name for the extract from the tannin-rich root Phyllanthus Emblica, which has been used for centuries in Aryuvedic Medicine. Studies have shown Emblica to possess powerful, broad-spectrum antioxidant properties. In addition, Emblica is extremely stable and is not subject to photodegradation. One of Emblica’s most exciting applications is as a skin lightener. While most skin lighteners have toxicity issues or can cause negative reactions on the skin, Emblica is well tolerated without any known negative side effects.
Siegesbeckia Orientalis Extract
This ingredient has been shown to be beneficial in restructuring the collagen matrix, aiding in wound healing and tissue regeneration. This helps to normalize the appearance of scars and stretch marks while restoring elasticity to the skin. Clinical studies on its application for stretch marks show a 52% decrease in length and indentations, a 12.9% decrease in depth, and a 13.7% increase in smoothness, texture, color and tone.
Directions for Facial Rejuvenation: For use on the face to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, also improving skin tone and fitness.
